Both raffle items will be shipped, free of charge, to anywhere in the world.

1. The Custom-Made Story Blanket

If you win this raffle, you will be able to choose the theme of your story blanket and we will make it for you according to your vision. The knitted Story Blanket in the photos was hand knitted by our Maple Village School parents to raffle at our Harvest Faire last year.  It’s theme was ‘The Four Seasons’ and as you can see it is divided into Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. It was amazingly stunning. Other ideas for a theme would be; WOODLAND, with forest greens, streams and toadstools or FARMYARD, with veggie patches, ploughed land and wheat fields or BEACH, with the sea and waves and sand and seaweed… your imagination is the limit.

Your blanket will be 3 x 4 feet big and will be a hand knitted collaboration by our Maple Village community. It will be completed by July 1st, 2013.

2. The Needle Felted Toys

The draw will take place on May 17, 2013 and winners will be announced and contacted immediately.
If you win, your treasures will be shipped to you, free of charge, anywhere in the world.  For those using Paypal to purchase tickets, winners will be contacted via their Paypal email/contact info.

Many thanks to all who came out to bid, dine and dance with us at the Butterfly Masquerade Ball, our first annual gala!   And thanks to our many generous donors!!

We had a fabulous time, and we made a net profit of over $8,000.00 for the school. Danke, merci, mille graze!  Here are a few photos, there are many more to come…

Our Gala organizer extraordinaire, Yvette Somoano-Villa, and parent / music teacher Andreas Preponis.

The silent auction bidding looks much more genteel than it was…we had some battles over classroom baskets and Pilates lessons!

Two grades parents, Anton Streigl and Donni Webber.

Two of our founders, Chip and Lisa McCarthy.

Parent / Toddler mamas plot their strategy at the silent auction.

More happy parents . . . Reggie Melrose and Isabel Rivero. (Isabel was also the Gala photographer!)

Grades teacher Lynne Struye let the bids fly and won the felting class!

One of the top-rated resorts on Mexico’s beautiful Playa del Carmen, The Royal Haciendas offers four swimming pools, two kids swimming pools, shaded hammocks, beach palapas, several restaurants, kayaks, scuba diving, snorkeling, golf, tennis, and a full spa.

A recent reviewer on Trip Advisor wrote:  “From the spacious, comfortable villas, to the meticulously maintained landscaping, beach area, and restaurants, the Royal Haciendas is a first rate vacation destination. We particularly enjoyed the shrimp tacos in the casual restaurant by the pool, and the fine dining experience at the Los Murales restaurant, which specializes in seafood.  One of the things we like most about the resort is the personal and friendly service that permeates the resort. All of the staff, from the receptionists in the lobby, to the bell hops, maids, waiters, and maintenance personnel are eager to assist you in any way they to ensure you have a pleasant stay. They all greet you with a genuine smile and a cheerful “Hola!” In addition you are assigned a personal concierge to assist you with arranging tours, free shuttle service to nearby Playa Del Carmen, or to answer any questions you may have. This is our fourth year staying at the Royal Hacienda. We will be returning, and will continue to recommend the resort to our family and friends as a wonderful vacation destination.”
